Md. Golam Rahman, a career civil servant, joined the Mission Audit Directorate as Director General on 25^th July 2022. He joined Bangladesh Civil Service in Audit and Accounts cadre on 25^th January, 1999 in 18^th batch and has since held various positions in the Government.

Prior to this position, Md. Golam Rahman has served as the Additional Comptroller and Auditor General (OCAG). He worked in various capacities within Audit & Accounts Department including Director General of Directorate of Social Security and Welfare Audit; Additional Financial Adviser And Chief Accounts Officer, Bangladesh Railway East and West Zone; Area Finance Controller (AFC), Savar Cantonment and Office of the AFC Jessore; Joint Finance Controller of Office of the SFC(Air Force), Dhaka Cantonment; Chief Accounts and Finance Officer (CAFO), Ministry of Housing and Public Works; Chief Accounts and Finance Officer (CAFO), Ministry of Finance and Financial Institutions Division; Deputy Director of Civil Audit Directorate, Financial Management Academy(FIMA) & Commercial Audit Directorate(Khulna Region). Apart from serving in various positions within the department, he also served as Chief Accounts Officer(CAO) of Public Works Department(PWD) on Deputation. He received different types of professional training in home and abroad. He is also a resource person of Financial Management Academy(FIMA), Foreign Service Academy, National Academy for Educational Management(NAEM) and Public Works Department(PWD) Training Academy etc.

Mr. Rahman also conducted audit in different missions. He is a widely travelled person visited within the country. Besides, he visited countries like United Kingdom (UK), China, India, Pakistan, Maldives, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Turkey, Tunisia & Libya.

Md. Golam Rahman obtained his graduate and post-graduate degrees in English. He passed SSC and HSC with outstanding results under Rajshahi Education Board. In his academic life, he participated in various extra-curricular activities. In addition, he played a leading role in various social, cultural and educational organizations.

Mr. Rahman was born on 10^th March, 1973 in a respected noble Muslim Family of Pirgacha upazila under Rangpur district. He is married. His wife is a home maker as well as business person by profession. They are blessed with a daughter and two sons
